Pixave is a small business based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, totally owned and operated by me, Lesley Harris. I got the idea one day when I decided to scan my family photographs, my husband is an IT geek and he got me the best scanner we could afford, and I was amazed at the quality of the scans, and it got me to thinking that there must be plenty of people out there who want to digitize their family archive for future generations to come and would need someone to help them.
I initially placed an advert in our local free magazine, but I eventually moved into creating this website, with the help of my husband, and the work started rolling in. Since 2011, the business has grown and grown, I now work full time scanning people's photographs, slides, negatives and convert VHS video tapes, and have had to expand my scanning capacity by over 400% since the start of 2012.
