Pixave have many years experience of converting large photographic archives into digital formats. We have worked on projects for universities, charities and heritate organisations such as Oxfam & Scottish Heritate.
We will organise your digital archive into the same structure as your hard copies, whether that is by folder names, photographer, dates etc, and for an extra fee we can enter the metadata on each image to store additional, searchable, data such as date taken, location, photographer name, folder names, copyright etc.
You can get an idea of our scanning costs by getting a quote for standard scanning however, these large projects often have bespoke requirements and so please Contact us to discuss. We would normally appoint a project manager to liase with you and keep you up to date on the status of the project. We also have bespoke options for storing your images on dedicated non-shared hardware, electronic data transfer or courier delivery. We can return your images on multiple different devices, e.g. hard drives, network attached storage (NAS), USB hard drives, USB memory sticks, cloud transfer (e.g. Google Drive) or electronic transfer via systems such as Wetransfer.
We can scan your photos at any resolution, most customers prefer 600 DPI, slides & negatives upto 9600DPI, with 4800 most commonly selected on this service.
